Composer
I write music for solo guitar and also for chamber and orchestra ensembles. My work draws on Cuban folklore and popular music, of black and peasant roots, which I mix and contaminate with influences from jazz, rock or classical music. I try to transfer to my compositions the sounds of percussion instruments, fundamental in Afro-Cuban music, and make the most of the expressive resources of the guitar.
Arranger
I really enjoy arranging, covering and composing on the music of other composers, on popular themes and also on the classical repertoire. I believe that music must be in constant transformation, and crossed by all the influences. Arrangement for solo guitar and for guitar ensembles, and I dare with other instruments and even salsa orchestras of different formats.
